Introduction:

Lenva 10 mg Capsule is a medication used to treat certain types of cancer, including Thyroid Cancer that has returned or spread to other parts of the body, Renal Cell Carcinoma in patients who have previously received Chemotherapy, Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma when used in combination with pembrolizumab, hepatocellular carcinoma that cannot be treated with surgery, and endometrial cancer that has spread or worsened after chemotherapy or cannot be treated with surgery or radiation therapy. Lenva Capsule is a kinase inhibitor, which works by blocking the abnormal proteins that signal cancer cells to multiply, thereby stopping the spread of cancer cells.

Lenva 10 Capsule may cause side effects such as Fatigue, Nausea, Vomiting, and Loss of Appetite. Most of them are temporary and improve with time. Contact your doctor if these side effects bother you or get worse. Avoid driving and operating machinery as this medication may cause dizziness.

Lenva 10 can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it at the same time each day for optimal results. Dosage and frequency of use will be determined by your doctor based on your specific condition and may change over time.

It is important that you follow your doctor's instructions and do not change the dosage or frequency of intake without their guidance. Taking Lenva 10 mg Capsule in the wrong or excessive amounts may cause serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for the full effects of treatment to appear, but you should not stop taking it without consulting your doctor. It is important to inform your doctor before taking Lenva Capsule if you have a history of heart disease, liver or kidney problems or if you are currently taking any medications to treat infections. Additionally, it is important to inform your healthcare team of all medications you are currently taking as this Lenva 10 mg may interact with other medications. Lenva 10 mg Capsule is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding and effective contraception should be used by both males and females during treatment to prevent pregnancy.

Lenva 10 has not been established as safe and effective for use in children between the ages of 2 and 18.

Thyroid Cancer:
Lenva 10 Capsule is used to treat Thyroid Cancer that has returned or spread to other parts of the body and cannot be treated with radioactive iodine.
Renal Cell Carcinoma: Lenva 10 mg is used along with another medicine called Everolimus to treat adults with a type of kidney cancer called advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in people who have previously received treatment with another chemotherapy medication.
Hepatocellular carcinoma: Lenva 10 Capsule is used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most frequently occurring type of liver cancer. Lenva 10 mg is a treatment option for HCC that is not suitable for surgical removal.

Safety Advice 
Breastfeeding

  • UNSAFE It is not recommended to breastfeed while taking Lenva 10 mg. Lenva Capsule may pass into breast milk and harm the infant. If you are breastfeeding and taking Lenva 10, it is important to talk to your doctor about the possible risks and benefits of continuing to breastfeed. Your doctor will be able to help you make the best decision for you and your baby's health. 

Pregnancy

  • UNSAFE Use of Lenva Capsule may be unsafe during pregnancy as animal studies indicate that it may harm the developing fetus. However, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, it is important to talk to your doctor about the potential risks and benefits of taking Lenva 10 Capsule during pregnancy. Your doctor will be able to help you make the best decision for you and your baby's health. 

Alcohol

  • UNSAFE It is not recommended to consume alcohol while taking Lenva 10 Capsule. Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects or interfere with the effectiveness of the Lenva 10. It is best to talk to your doctor or pharmacist before consuming alcohol while taking any medicine.

Liver

  • USE WITH CAUTION Lenva 10 should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. It is important that patients with liver disease closely monitor liver function while taking Lenva 10 Capsule and report any unusual symptoms or changes in liver function to their doctor. The dose of Lenva 10 mg may need to be adjusted in patients with liver disease. 

Kidney

  • USE WITH CAUTION Lenva 10 Capsule should be used with caution in patients with Kidney disease. It is important that patients with kidney disease closely monitor kidney function while taking Lenva 10 and report any unusual symptoms or changes in kidney function to their doctor. The dose of Lenva 10 mg may need to be adjusted in patients with kidney disease. 

Driving

  • UNSAFE Lenva Capsule may cause dizziness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating and coordinating, which may affect your ability to drive a vehicle safely. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions and take necessary precautions such as avoiding driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery if you suffer from the side effects of this Lenva 10 mg.
