SUGISTRAN 12.5MG (28'S BOTTLE) CAP

Introduction:

This medication is used to treat certain types of cancer (kidney, pancreas, and intestinal). It is also used to treat people who are at high risk of the kidney cancer coming back again after having kidney surgery. Sunitinib works by stopping or slowing the growth of cancer tumors. It also works by slowing the growth of new blood vessels within the tumor.

Instructions:

• Sunitinib 12.5 mg Capsule is not recommended if you are allergic to it. It should be taken with caution if you have a liver or kidney condition, thyroid condition (inability of the thyroid gland to produce an adequate amount of hormones), prolonged QT intervals (irregular heart rhythm), or Torsade de Pointes (fast heart rhythm). Inform your doctor if you have hypertension (high blood pressure), congestive heart failure (inability of the heart to pump an adequate amount of blood), low or high sugar level, or a bleeding condition.
• Sunitinib12.5 mg Capsule should be taken during pregnancy only after consulting your doctor. It is unknown if the medicine passes into breast milk or not, hence consult your doctor first before taking the medicine while breastfeeding. This medicine is not recommended for children less than 18 years of age as there is a lack of safety and efficacy.

Side Effects:

• Bleeding gums.
• Bloating or swelling of the face, arms, hands, fingers, lower legs, or feet.
• Chest pain, coughing up blood, cracked lips,decreased urine output and frequency.
• Difficulty swallowing, dilated neck veins.
